Using your diffuser
Why can I see oil spreading through the wooden cap?
This is normal. The wood absorbs fragrance and gradually releases it. If the cap looks excessively wet after priming, dab away the excess with a tissue before fitting the diffuser to the vent.
Why does the scent seem stronger at some times than others?
Temperature, airflow, fragrance composition and your own sense of smell can all affect how noticeable a fragrance feels. Warmer conditions can increase diffusion, while colder conditions may make it more subtle.
Can I use it without the heater or air conditioning switched on?
Yes. The diffuser releases fragrance passively. Ventilation can move scented air around the cabin, but air conditioning itself does not guarantee a stronger scent.
Can I use the diffuser somewhere other than my car?
Yes, provided it remains upright and secure. It can work well in a small personal space such as an office desk or home office.
Will it fit every vehicle air vent?
No. Vehicle vents vary considerably and not every design is compatible. The diffuser should only be used where the clip fits securely and the vial can remain upright without interfering with controls.

How will I know when my order has been dispatched?

What if my order arrives damaged, leaking or incorrect?
Please contact us with your order number and keep the product and packaging while we investigate. Photos or a short video may be requested where helpful.

What does Designer Inspired mean?
Designer Inspired fragrances are our interpretation of familiar fragrance profiles. The Scent Sanctuary is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original fragrance houses.
How can I choose a fragrance if I am unsure?
If you are deciding between several scents, we recommend trying a Discovery Pack first. It is a simple way to explore a selection of fragrance profiles before committing to full-size diffusers.
What if I simply do not like the fragrance I chose?
Fragrance preference is personal. A scent not being to your taste does not by itself mean that the product is faulty. If you are unsure before buying a full-size diffuser, a Discovery Pack is the best way to sample different fragrance styles first. Please see our Returns & Refunds page for the full policy.
